What the Trip Will Be Like

Note: Cave trip durations vary widely based on group experience, preparation time, navigation, and rest breaks.
A memorable SRT trip into P8 to the sump and back.
This route via the high level traverse is probably the most direct route but is not to be underestimated. It's notoriously soggy at times, and it's better for people who have some element of independence at SRT.
It's a great trip into some wonderful bits of cave.

- A Caving Crew Leader bag with first aid kit, spares, shelter and water
- 1 x 20m ropes (pitch 1)
- 1 x 30m rope (traverse + pitch 1 rescue)
- 1 x 55m rope (traverse)
- 1 x 10m rope (roving rope and post-traverse downclimb)
- SRT rescue kit (can be left at top of pitch 1)
- 10 carabiners
- extra bags that this gear will fit in.
What does signing up pay for?

Any extra funds and put into the club gear fund which replaces the club ropes, karabiners, SRT harnesses and other equipment when they have to be replaced for safety reasons.
